Bible Verses On the subject of Attitude: Improve Your Sense Of Well-Being

When has been the very last time you were feeling so down you desired to jump off a high cliff and get it over with? When was the very last time you got up from bed in the early morning with a heavy feeling in your chest, as well as in hardly any mood to go to work at all? If someone on heaven love you so a great deal, precisely how come your equals in Earth address you like dirt? On the contrary, when had been the last time you felt… completely happy?

The bottomline is, our personal attitude has just as much effect on our own day-to-day lives as the attitude of the people around us. Periodically you feel like nothing can put you down. Your brain is flooding with ideas, and you’re starting to think you could’ve made a million dollars by now had you undertaken fine art lessons in college. On the other hand there are occassions when you feel like there is nothing at all anyone can say or do to pick you up from where you have fallen down. The modern world is a tough place, you think to yourself. It is no place for children and old men. Everyone is constantly trying to make something for their own reasons even when it’s at the expense of somebody they know.

The Bible is not one to consider this problem lightly. You can find Bible verses specifically addressing the human attitude. Everybody knows the saying which goes somewhat like, the only distinction between a great day and a bad day is your attitude, but how much do we really know regarding attitude based on the Bible verses? Let’s discover what the scriptures have to say.

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus.” (Romans 15:5)

“Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.” (Romans 12:16)

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

The Bible verses inform us to be optimistic, to “be the same as that of Christ Jesus”. The old saying pointed out earlier rings true. But why must we possess a good attitude towards life? It is for the Lord. To make the best of the time He has provided us with, we should constantly put on our best attitude in whatever we do. He tells all of us to be like His Son, Jesus Christ. We should.

The next time you do not feel like getting out of bed in the early morning to go to work, think of the Bible verses and God’s words about attitude. May you discover the inspiration there to persevere.
